Rev. Jarid McCool is the Senior Pastor at Westmont Christian Church. Jarid started at Westmont in June of 2020 and has grown to love the Lubbock community in which we serve. Jarid received his Master of Divinity degree from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Oregon. Jarid met his wife Bethany while they were both attending Northwest Christian University and have been married since 2009. They have 3 boys, 1 girl, and love to do family adventures together.

Jarid is an extrovert who loves people and is always excited to do ministry in the community. He is committed to preaching the Word and the Gospel of Christ crucified on our behalf. He says, “My family and I have been fully and warmly welcomed into the family of Westmont, and we know you will be too.”

Rev. Dean P. Roy is the Associate Minister of Administration & Music at Westmont Christian Church. This is Dean’s 37th year of professional ministry, and he has entered his 17th year of service at WCC. Dean and his wife, Juliana, met at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where each received master’s degrees in Piano Performance (Juliana) and Choral Conducting (Dean). Their son, Jaden, is attending Texas Tech University, where he is majoring in Psychology.

Dean says that just as his family found a home among the amazing people of WCC, he would like to invite all who seek a loving and welcoming group of Christians to find their new church-home right here at Westmont Christian Church.​

Jaden is the Administrative Ministry Assistant at Westmont Christian Church and started working at Westmont in 2025. She is from White Deer, TX and moved to Lubbock in the fall of 2016. Jaden received her Bachelor of Human Development and Family Sciences in 2019 from Texas Tech University and then her Master’s of Healthcare Administration in 2022.

Jaden met her husband, Kade, here in Lubbock while both were in college. Jaden enjoys serving her Westmont family and invites everyone seeking a church family to come receive the Word through Westmont Christian Church.

Jess is the custodian for Westmont Christian Church and also volunteers as the choir librarian. She became a member of Westmont in 2004 as a result of a Neighborhood Bash where she was made to feel most welcome and immediately dug in to serve where needed, namely the choir and orchestra.

Jess has been married since 2010 and has two children: Alex, who loves reading and science, and Tessa, who most definitely caught her mother’s love of music. Jess attends Christian Leaders Institute, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Chaplaincy in the hopes of bringing those, in their most trying of times, to Jesus.

Carolyn was born and raised in Iowa, She received her college degree at Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO. It was there she met her husband whom she was married to for 46 years before he passed.

​Carolyn has lived in Lubbock, TX since 1985, and she has been working with infants and toddlers in our nursery since December of 1991.
